Topps Series 2 Baseball Has Legends Too
Topps found a pretty nice way to sneak some of the legends of the diamond into 2009 Topps Series 1 Baseball without leaving out anyone from today: include short-printed variations that replace a current player with a star from yesterday.
That idea seemed good enough to repeat, so Series 2 will follow along the same path. A total of 17 base cards have Legends short prints, with the checklist as follows (Baltimore Orioles fans should be especially pleased!):
