Topps Ready to Unveil New and Improved Bowman Football

Published by Nick Tylwalk at 10:54 pm under Previews Edit This

2009 Bowman Draft Picks College Letter Autographed Patch Michael CrabtreeTopps has experimented with several different brands to kick off its football card programs over the past few seasons, but nothing has seemed to stick. For 2009, the company is hoping to change that with one of the most recognizable names in the hobby.

Completely revamped for the new season, 2009 Bowman Draft Picks Football will be Topps’ first set of the year to feature the NFL’s latest rookie class. Along with a 220-card base set, the specs call for seven levels of parallels and six different insert sets.

Bowman is always known for including a rookie autograph or two, and Topps has amped up that aspect of the set for 2009. Every hobby box will contain one rookie autograph - signed on-card, not with a sticker - and one autographed rookie patch card.

The auto patch cards include college letter versions like the Michael Crabtree card pictured above and college logo versions like the Mark Sanchez card pictured below.

Bowman Draft Picks Football is currently scheduled to go on sale on May 8 with a suggested retail price of $3 per pack.
